For the first time in history, Barcelona Global managed to bring together, in the same joint venture, the Liceu, Palau de la Música, Ibercàmera and l’Auditori in order to achieve a common goal: promote the tourism generated by classical music. The platform’s name takes advantage of the double meaning of “Obertura” in Catalan: an introductory piece of music or “overture” and also the “opening up” of the city to the world.
