It’s not easy to change a brand with more than 150 years of history.
Grupo Catalana Occidente wanted to unify its different traditional business brands—Seguros Catalana Occidente, Plus Ultra Seguros, Seguros Bilbao and Norte Hispana Seguros—and to do so, it needed to express this through a new name. A name that is far more strategic than creative, because we believe a brand cannot simply change; it must evolve.
Occident captures the essence of the original brand, streamlines it and globalises it, with a form that works in both English and Catalan. A step taken with common sense and deep respect.
